This year alone, we have provided $20,000 to help families with rent, utilities and groceries, $24,500 in COVID support for rent, utilities and groceries, $17,500 in vehicle repairs, three college scholarships to graduating seniors of single parent homes, and six vehicle donations. June 25, 2021, Longmont, CO – PEARL Promise is proud to announce and welcome Donna Rippey as the Executive Director. Rippey, originally from Pekin, IL, has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has spent the last 10 years of her career with the Boys and Girls Clubs, where she has held various positions throughout her tenure and has experience working with boards, budgeting, volunteer management, fundraising, and planning. “Donna brings organizational and outreach experience that will serve our single parents and their children well. We experienced a lot of growth during the pandemic and Donna brings the expertise for our broader and diverse client base,” says Hal Bagley, Board Chair. Outgoing Executive Director, Melissa Frick, will be transitioning to a Board role while focusing on her private counseling practice. Frick was instrumental in not only navigating PEARL through the pandemic but growing Pearl in a manner that served our single parent families at a crucial time. “I am excited for this opportunity and to continue building on PEARL’s legacy within the Longmont Community,” Rippey said.
